Following the announcement of the result of the 2020 Second Series West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private candidates.
The board has announced that 398 candidates’s result are still being processed due to some errors on the part of the candidates.
According to the Head of National Office of WAEC, Mr Patrick Areghan, “out of the total number of candidates that sat the examination, 61,111 candidates representing 99.35% have their results fully processed and released while 398 candidates representing 0.65% have few of their results still being processed due to errors on part of candidates.”
He added that “the 66,375 candidates registered for the examination while 61,509 candidates sat for the examination 30,507 were males while 31,002 were females, representing 49.60% and 50.40% respectively.”

How to check the 2020 WAEC GCE Result
(1) Enter the WAEC result checking portal @ www.waecdirect.com
(2) Type in your examination number and pin on your Smartcard
(3) Fill in the exam year, and the type of examination (Select private\candidate results)
(4) And wait for the result page to load.
If your result didn’t load, you are probably among the 398 candidates. Don’t be worried, just be patient while the board rectifies it.
