One of the 2016 Olympic cyclist, Olivia Podmore who represented New Zealand has passed away few hours after posting a message on her Instagram page.
The New Zealand rider who competed at the world championships last year and represented New Zealand in the women’s sprint event in Rio, unfortunately wasn’t picked to compete this year for Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Disclosing her death on social media is her heartbroken brother, Mitchell Podmore.
Mitchell who expressed his grief stated: “Rest in peace to my gorgeous sister and loved daughter of Phil Podmore.
“You will be in our hearts forever.”
