Anambra Poll: Outrage as INEC Drops APGA's Soludo
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Supporters of the former CBN Governor and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chukwuma Soludo, have begun to vent their anger on social media as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) dropped Soludo for Umeoji.

INEC, on Friday, cleared Micheal Umeoji over Soludo for the November 6 gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

This was contained in a statement by INEC National Commissioner and Chairman (Information and Voter Education Committee), Festus Okoye, after a meeting held in Abuja on Thursday.

The commission also dropped the People’s Democratic Party’s candidate, Valentine Ozigbo, in respect to the rulings of the court.

In reaction to the INEC decision, Kenechi Nwa-Omemgbeoji Mbaemeka said: “Disqualifying a good leader to be, only to impose one of the never-do-well carrier politicians because they never wish Ndigbo any good. We won’t settle for anyone if not Dr Godwin Maduka or Chukwuma Soludo. Since PDP failed to give us Dr Maduka as their candidate we have no other choice but Chukwuma Soludo as we wait to hear from our(IPOB) leaders whether to vote or not.”

Samuel Ndububa said: Well, these people should know that Anambra state is not Imo State, let them not create another imo in Anambra state. Anambra election has always been local, any external force may turn the state into anarchy!

Stanley Ugochuku Ukwuagu said: “Instead of having supreme Court situation as that of Imo state please it’s better they scrap that governorship election after all t in tandem with our Biafran agitation.”

Ikechukwu Miracle Mbachu said: “Imagine a high court in Jigawa state doing all this manipulation just to rig Anambra state election just like the doings in IMO

This will give rise to No election in Anambra state…”

John Nweze said: “Ground is set for Abuja to appoint another Supreme Court administrator for Anambra State. The will of the people is indeed irrelevant. IPOB warned that it will happen and the agents of destruction are playing into the hands of the enemy of the people.”

Olabisi Oreoluwa Kayode said: “Because they knew he would win the election and do we call this election or selection/imposition??”

Emmanuel Okojere said: “Because soludo spoke against the federal government rearrest of mazi Nnamdi kanu.”

Joseph Omokoh said: “I will blame the PDP members for failing to organize themselves properly.

“Having benefited severely from APC’s imprudent behaviour to seize power in River State and Zamfara state respectively, they ought to have comported themselves to avoid such imprudence befall them.”

Danlami Armut said: “Hahahahhh.. It’s not new to us cos they have done it in Zamfara , Rivers states and most of you the clueless complaining here applaud INEC for a job well done .Now the table has turned against them ..useless set of people.”

Shadrack Odigie said: “And somebody will be saying trash that INEC is independent. It’s obvious that they removed his name because of his recent statements which are not in favour of the federal government. I wonder why Nigerian government officials are doing things as if they will live forever.”
