Armed robbers have launched a simultaneous attack on three commercial banks at the Uromi part of Edo state.
Edo Police spokesman, Bello Kontongs, a Superintendent of Police (SP), confirming the incident to The Nation, simply said, “That’s true sir.”
Robbers are also said to have carted away with an undisclosed amount of money during the operation.

These financial institutions attacked are First Bank, Union Bank, and Unity Bank.
A resident of the community said “too coordinated in commando style and they armed robbers launched the attacks simultaneously. This is novel in this town.”
“The sporadic shots by the armed robbers caused panic in the town. The robbers came prepared. People are just running helter-skelter,” another source said.
