Nigeria’s football star, Asisat Oshoala, has announced the death of her stepmother.
In a video shared via her instagram handle, she said that:
“I’ve heard, lots of it has happened, it has happened, there is nothing you can do to bring her back, you are a strong girl… I just cannot process these lines, mummy, you are not gone; it is not possible.
She also promised to chase all her dreams in honour of her ‘mummy’.
“I’ll still chase every damn dream for you, mummy. May Allah accept your return, eliminate your grave and forgive your shortcomings and make us reunite in Janah Firdaus. Amen.”
