Multichoice Nigeria has announced the grand prize of N90 million to the winner of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show season six, adding that the show will begin July 24, 2021.
This was disclosed by MultiChoice, in a press briefing with newsmen on Monday, July 19, 2021.
According to MultiChoice, this year’s edition of BBNaija will run for 72 days to end on October 3, 2021, and will be anchored by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
It revealed that the reality show will premiere with two opening ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25, 2021, airing from 7 pm on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 with a simulcast on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban, and Africa Magic Family.
It also noted that season six will spot some surprising changes, as there will be no SMS voting.
Fans will now be able to vote for their favourite housemates for free on the official website and application, in order to allow a more inclusive participation for fans outside Nigeria.
Furthermore, the Show will offer exclusive access to the show for viewers in diaspora. In line with Covid-19 safety measures, the live shows will adopt the Lockdown season style with no guests.
Recall that Olamilekan Agbeleshe known as ‘Laycon’ won last year’s edition of the show. He received the grand prize of N85 million and a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), and a luxury two-bedroom apartment.
