President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko as the substantive Managing Director, MD, of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA.
Following the suspension of the then-Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman, for alleged corruption-related actions in May 2021, Bello-Koko was named acting Managing Director.

He previously held the position of Executive Director, Finance and Administration at the Authority.
The appointment is effective immediately, according to a statement signed by Eric Ojiekwe, Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Transportation.
