The Grand Commander of the Armed Forces of the Federation, President Muhammad Buhari, has declared Monday, May 24, a work free day for the members of the Armed Forces.
This is in honour of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, and the 10 top Military officers that were killed by a plane crash last Friday.
The announcement was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
According to the statement, the President has also ordered that the “National Flag be flown at half-mast in all public buildings, facilities, and official residences with effect from Monday, May 24 – Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
