Nigerian civic organisations, BudgIT and Connected Development, CODE has petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC to open an investigation against Hon. Mojisola Macaulay and members of the Lagos State House of Assembly over alleged hoarding of Covid-19 palliatives for personal use.
This was disclosed on the official twitter page of BudgIT few minutes ago.
Recall that a picture of COVID-19 Palliatives being packed as souvenirs during the Mojisola Macaulay’s birthday surfaced online recently.
The groups have now raised concerns over the abuse of public offices and diversion of COVID-19 palliatives for personal use.
BudgIT is a social advocacy group that uses technology to simplify the budget and matters of public spending for citizens, with the primary aim of raising standard of transparency and accountability in government.
