Celebrations as Burna Boy Wins BET Awards for 3 Consecutive Times

Fans have begun to congratulate Burna Boy for his new feat as the Best International Act for the third consecutive time at the 2021 BET Awards.

Burna Boy first got the award in 2019 and has since then been the recipient of the Best International Act Award category.

The Afrobeat star beats his Nigerian colleague, Wizkid, and other international artistes which include: Emicida, Aya Nakamura, Headies One, Young T & Bugsey, Diamond Platinumz and Youssoupha, to clinch the title.

Receiving the award physically, in the company of his mother, he appreciated his fans for their support and honoured his mother to give the speech for him.

Fans have taken to their social media handles to congratulate “Odogwu Burna Boy” as he is fondly called.

Afam Ogbodu commented that the award is a well deserved one for Burna Boy because he has worked hard to reach the feat.

“Twice as Tall you have walked so many kilometers to become the odogwu,  a big congratulations, nothing more to prove,” Afam said.

Shola Edun commended Burna Boy’s mother, saying: “Behind every successful man there must be a  Woman.

Biggest thanks to your Mommy .

Congratulations.”

Ebenezer George said: “Burna made his family really proud.. At first he was tagged as the black sheep of the family .. This life e good make people de calm down o .. ❤️ 🏆 “

“Yes he deserved it, because his music recently has a direction talking about our struggles and lyrically talking about our reality as a people. Congratulations my nigga,” Okwe Samuel said.

“Congratulations to Burna de greatest musician in Africa winning the BET award in three straight years, Odogwu,” Mensor Dominic said.

Em Ma Nuel said: “Congratulations to you OluwaBurna for getting all that you deserved. I remember when you just started, you dey complain die but look at you now, finally securing the bag and getting the awards and recognition you once complained about. I pray we all achieve all we ever wanted in Jesus name amen.”
