Chelsea have confirmed that Scottish midfielder Billy Gilmour has left the club on loan for the season, joining Premier League newcomers Norwich City.
The 20-year-old, who was forced to miss Scotland’s final group match at Euro 2020 after testing positive for coronavirus, has joined the Canaries, who were promoted back to the Premier League last season at the first attempt, for the duration
The move to Carrow Road will allow Gilmourto play regularly in the Premier League and gain some much-needed valuable experience.
He has not been sent out on loan before by Chelsea since joining the club back in 2017, meaning this will offer him a great opportunity to take his game to the next level.
