On Saturday, February 13, 2021, agitators of the #EndSARS protest have moved to stage another protest tag #OccupyLekkiTollGate, in order to seek justice for the alleged persons killed and injured during the #LekkiMassacre.

Their agitations was a swift response to the ruling of the Lagos State Judicial Panel to reopen Lekki Tollgate.

According to one of the agitators, @Hauwa_l, “what happened on the 20th of October, 2020 has not been fully addressed. Yet, you want to open toll gate. Barawo!”

The issue topped the trending issues on Twitter on Monday as many youths raised the awareness and invited others to join the movement at the Lekki Toll Gate.

Youths Form Counter Protest against #OccupyLekkiTollGate

No sooner than the #OccupyLekkiTollGate agitations began online, another resistant group with the #DefendLagos harshtag rose to defend Lagos from destruction.

The group identified the destruction of lives and property has one of the several reasons they would prevent #OccupyLekkiTollgate.

According to one of the #DefendLagos agitators on Twitter, @lorrylarry1, he tweeted that “No one has monopoly of madness. The destruction of Lagos by the foolish lots is enough. This time we are going to #DefendLagos and #DemNoBornYourPapaWell to do any how.”

#DefendLagos protest is also slated for the same day as the #OccupyLekkiTollgate, Saturday, February 13th, 2021 at the Lekki Toll Gate also.

Groups Clash Looking Imminent

The two groups have trended the harshtag, #DemNoBornYourPapaWell, in order to dare and warn each other from carrying their planned protests.

@Ayemojubar, a fore front agitator of the last #EndSARS protest and presently an agitator of the #OccupyLekkiTollGate, tweeted “This is how they planned to #DefendLagos again? We will #OccupyLekkiTollGate and #DemNoBornYourPapaWell to disrupt it.”

In reaction to the user’s tweet, @murhilawa said “Are you one of those planning to destroy Lagos or aiding & abating their plan! Be informed that you & all your cohorts will be hunt down with full breath of Law. You may also wish to be reminded that there will be a generational curse on your lineage. Psalm 57 #DefendLagos”
