A High Court in Ibadan, Oyo state has restrained the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Attorney-General of Nigeria from “arresting, intimidating, and harassing Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho.
Ladiean Akintola, the judge, granted the order on Wednesday following an ex-parte motion moved by Yomi Aliu, Igboho’s lawyer at the court.
The Court also restrained the DSS and attorney-general of the federation from blocking Igboho’s bank accounts.
Recall that Igboho and his wife were arrested at Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou on their way to Germany, while he was fleeing Nigeria after his Oyo home was raided by operatives of the DSS.
Ropo, the wife, was released after the pair were arraigned before a court in the country, but Igboho remains in custody after extradition hearing on the request of the Nigerian government was delayed.
