Education Minister, Prof. Adamu Adamu, has announced 12th October, 2020 as resumption date for the 104 Unity Schools.
In this light, students and stakeholders are directed to take precaution while they prepare to return to school by following the COVID-19 precautionary measures compiled by the Presidential taskforce.
China, the ground zero of the Coronavirus had since the month of May resumed academic activities according to report. While Lagos State which is the epicenter of the Virus in Nigeria had earlier announced September 21st as resumption date for JSS3 and SS2 Students in public schools.
The Ministry of Education through the Director, Press and Public Relations, Mr Ben Goong had announced the closure of all schools on Thursday, 19th March, 2020 which took effect on Thursday, 26th March 2020.
Although, a total free from the pandemic has not been recorded, the Federal government through the Presidential Taskforce is rapidly easing every sector from the imminent shutdown of activities of which the education sector is not left behind.
