Lagos State, the epicentre of Covid-19 in Nigeria, has recorded over 2,700 active cases as at 18th of December, 2020.
It was disclosed in a statement by the Lagos State Commissioner for health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, that a total of 2,739 active cases are being managed in the state.
40 of the cases are currently in isolation in public and private COVID-19 Care Centres.
2,699 active cases in communities are also being managed under the COVID-19 Lagos home based care program and they are receiving treatment via EkoTelemed services.

308 new COVID-19 infections were confirmed in Lagos on December 18, 2020 out of a total 2,398 COVID-19 tests conducted.
The new cases brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Lagos to 26,523.
The total number of COVID-19 tests conducted so far in Lagos now stands at 201,729.
2,637 of the confirmed cases have since been discharged from COVID-19 Care Centers following full recovery.
While, 20,920 of the confirmed cases monitored in communities by COVID-19 Lagos Response Team have fully recovered.
