Sergio Aguero will be leaving Manchester City for Barcelona at the end of his 10-year-contract in July.
Aguero will be uniting with his fellow Argentine players including Lionel Messi at the Spanish Club by July 1, 2021.
Highlighting some of his achievements at the Etihad, the team confirmed that he helped the team to win 15 major trophies including 5 Premier League titles.
“He has scored 260 goals in 390 games for City – more than any other player in the club’s history.
“Aguero sits fourth on the list of all-time Premier League scorers with 184 and has the best minutes-to-goals ratio in the competition’s history.
“He is also the highest scoring overseas player in Premier League history – and in January 2020 he overtook Alan Shearer to set the record for the most Premier League hat-tricks after registering his 12th away at Aston Villa.
“His final game in a City shirt came in the Champions League final and fans will fondly remember Aguero’s Manchester farewell, which saw him score twice in front of returning fans to break the Premier League record for goals for a single club.”
