Suspended and detained Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari has filed a lawsuit against the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) before a Federal High Court in Abuja seeking an immediate release.

It should be recalled that The News Beam had reported that the DCP had been in the drug agency’s custody over allegations that he is linked with an international drug cartel.

NDLEA had declared him wanted after his refusal to honor the agency’s invitation but his arrest was propelled by the Inspector General Of Police after conducting an in-house investigation.

Daily Posts reports that in a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/182/22, Kyari challenges his detention and ‘wants the court to admit him to bail in liberal conditions’.
