The major cities such as Lagos, Abuja were occupied by agitating youths stating their demand to the Federal Government and the Inspector General of Police.
Earlier, the social media platforms have been the major avenue where the issue was discussed, with the hashtag #EndSars topping the trending list for about 5 days. The agitators decided to walk the talk despite the IGP order barring the SARS, ATS and other special force from carrying out routine patrols, stop-and-search and other less life-threatening tasks.
The agitators expressed their doubts about the directives has they recalled that such order had been made several times with no positive result.
