The Cable News Network (CNN) have defied the Federal Government sanction threat for it’s recent footage, published another footage report of the October 20, 2020 #Lekkishootings.
The FG’s information minister, Lai Mohammad, has faulted the CNN’s investigative report released on November 18, 2020. The minister had tagged the report as an “Irresponsible reporting” in his reaction and threatened to sanction the news platform for relying on same unverified videos that have been circulated on the social media for its reports.

Despite the sanction threat by the Federal Government, today, Tuesday, November 24, 2020, the Cable News Network released another footage that reiterates its claims that the Nigerian Armed forces fired live ammunition at armless protesters.

“It was supposed to be the key piece of evidence. But when it came, the Lagos State government’s security camera footage of the Lekki toll gate shooting did not capture everything.”

The new footage shows the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) CCTV footage investigated by the Lagos Judicial Panel of Enquiry, it also shows the Army Spokesman Brigadier Ahmed Taiwo’s statement with the Judicial Panel attesting to the fact that soldiers were given “live and blank bullets.”
The #EndSARS protest and #Lekkishooting have attracted public attention, the United Kingdom Parliament has called for the sanction of individual persons responsible in the human right abuses and indiscriminate killings of armless citizens in a panel session held yesterday. This followed the consideration of the e-petition signed by 220,230 petitioners relating to the #EndSARS protest.
