#EndSARS Report: Ex-Presidential Aide, Reno Omokri Moves To Imprison Buhari

Former presidential aide and social activist, Reno Omokri, is determined to send President Muhammadu Buhari to jail after the end of his term in 2023.

Omokri has initiated an online petition on web-based petition aggregator, change.org, to prosecute Buhari for violations of human rights following the newly released report of the Lagos Judicial panel of inquiry which indicts men of the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Police force for shooting at unarmed protesters at the Lekki Tollgate last October.

The former aide of President Goodluck Jonathan on public relations, also took to Twitter to urge more Nigerians to sign the petition after singer, Davido, took to social media on Wednesday to appeal for donations. Recall that The News Beam had earlier reported the musician had embarked on a quest to raise a sum of N200 million Naira to celebrate his birthday coming up on the 21st of November, 2021.

Taking to the microblogging site, Omokri said, “I don’t need you to send me ₦1 million to prove you love me. All I need is for you to prove you love Nigeria by signing this petition to send Buhari to prison for the #LekkiMassacre of #EndSARS protesters here.

“In 4 hours Nigerians raised ₦114 million for @Davido. Now I beg Nigerians to show that we value human lives more than money by signing the petition to send Buhari to prison for l the #LekkiMassacre of unarmed #EndSARS protesters here.#BuhariForPrison2023.

“Stop saying ‘God go punish Buhari’. If we do nothing to bring Buhari to justice, he will escape. We are the ones God will use. “Sign the petition to send Buhari to prison for perpetuating the #LekkiMassacre of #EndSARS protesters here #BuhariForPrison2023″, Reno Omokri added.
