Fédération internationale de football association (FIFA) has pledged its continuous support to African Football’s restart in Cameroon.
During his 2-day visitation to Cameroon, FIFA’s President, Gianni Infantino, gave an update on FIFA’s role in supporting football in Cameroon and the whole of Africa.

The President said he:
“had the pleasure of providing President Biya with an update in relation to FIFA’s role in supporting football, not only in Cameroon, but also across Africa and globally…”
He further noted that the update was important most especially at a moment the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2021 just kicked off.
“Equally, meeting with CAF and Fecafoot officials, it was important to show FIFA’s support to football in Cameroon and across the African continent, especially as the African Nations Championship just kicked off, the first international tournament being played in 2021.”
The President met with important dignitaries in Cameroon which include; President Paul Biya; the President of the Republic of Cameroon, CAF President, Constant Omari and the Cameroon Prime Minister, Joseph Ngute.
