Gas Explosion Kills 3, Injures Others In Mushin

A gas explosion explosion at Ojekunle street, in Ladipo, Mushin part of Lagos state, has left three people dead and several others injured.

Properties whose monetary value could not be confirmed as at the time of filing this report were also destroyed in the inferno. 

While the cause of the explosion has not been ascertained, it was gathered that the fire started in a gas store a few minutes past 8A.M.

The Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margret Adeseye, disclosed that the incident was reported at 8.42am via the state’s emergency reporting platform.

She added that rescue operations have been initiated in efforts to curb the spread of the fire.

Adeseye said: ” Three male adults have  been recovered as rescue and recovery operations continue in an environment isolated from causing any further secondary incident.

“Preliminary investigations to establish the fact of the incident continue and further discovery will be made public”.
