Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested.
This was made known by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami at a briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, 29th June, 2021.
According to report, Kanu was intercepted, rearrested and brought back to Nigeria to face trial on June 27, 2021.
Kanu is expected to be re-arraigned before the Federal High Court for the continuation of his trial in Abuja, in response to years of campaign for the independent Republic of Biafra through IPOB.
Nnamdi Okwu Kanu was born on 25th September 1967. He founded IPOB in 2014. He is a Nigerian Biafra political activist, who is also a British citizen.
