The house of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho located in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State has been reported raided in the early hours of Thursday, July 1, 2021.
There are unconfirmed reports that Igboho has been kidnapped by the unknown gunmen.
In a live video, Igboho’s spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, alleged that the attack was carried out by men in military uniforms.
A spokesperson for Yoruba self-determination group, lana Omo Odua, Maxwell Adeleye, says “the assailants were all dressed in military uniform and spoke French language fluently.”
Adeleye also claims that Igboho has been abducted by the attackers.
“The gunmen killed seven occupants in the building and whisked Igboho’s wife and several others away,” Adeleye says.
The reported attack is coming hours to a planned rally for the secession of ‘Yoruba Nation’ in Lagos State, billed for Saturday, July 3, 2021.
Igboho has been going across the South-West geopolitical zone to crusade his secessionist campaign.
Thursday attack is one of the many reported attacks on Igboho and his Ibadan residence since January 2021 when he issued a seven-day ultimatum to killer herders in the Ibarapa area of Oyo State.
