The management of Dowen College is making sure education isn’t stalled in the school despite Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s order for the school to be closed down the school following the controversial death of a student, Sylvester Oromoni Junior.

Recall that The News Beam had earlier reported that 12-year-old Sylvester had allegedly lost his life to injuries sustained through assaults by cultists in the school for his refusal to join the fraternity.

The Commissioner for Education Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo announced the indefinite shut down of the school in a statement after a meeting with the school Management and Staff.

“We wish to inform you that further to our meeting at the Ministry of Education the school will be shutting down all physical activities till further notice. All learning will move online in the interest of safety and transparency”, management announced in a mail, a screenshot of which hit the internet.
