Mixed reactions have trailed the decision of Super Eagles International Star, Ahmed Musa, as he rejoins Kano Pillars.
Ahmed Musa made this ‘sensational’ move to his home base club after parting ways with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.
Fans and critics have expressed their views about this decision.
@Patrick_Miyaki said “Nice move. This would surely help the league in developing and in it’s publicity.. Also note that he wouldn’t be the first Super Eagles player to do so. Daniel Amokachi and Garba Lawal did same.”
@statmansam_7p tweeted “I wish every nigerian players in europe did this everytime before they retired. Come and pass on your knowledge and experience to your people before hanging your boots. Our domestic league will get better like that trust me.”
“This is a very bad move. Nothing good would come out from it. If he plays well, they would say its because he is playing in the NFL. And if he plays badly. Let’s just say even China ligue 2 won’t bid for him Its a lose-lose situation. Not a smart move at all,” Bright Chiemierie Sunday said.
@kastrokalu tweeted “All this because of his poor choice of club after the world Cup. Truth, European clubs are questioning his competitive mindset due to that move. Shine 🎇 at WC and go to Saudi Arabia.”
@bobos_shoes_ said “Was he not at Leicester recently? He’s had opportunities just hasn’t lived up to billing.”
Yetunde said “We pray he doesn’t get kidnapped. Playing for a Nigerian club might be a big mistake for him expecially a club in the north where insecurity is top notch.when going for trainings or games , go with enough security although our security agencies are scared of this bandits too.”
