Nollywood actor, Omiyinka James Olanrewaju, Baba Ijesha, has made his first appearance on social media after more than 2-month break.

Since his arrest in connection to a sexual molestation allegation with a minor, he has been absent on social media.

His last post on Instagram was on April 14, a week to his arrest.

Following his release four days ago, Baba Ijesha uploaded a short video today with the caption: “A day before the incident” followed by some tears emoji.

This has generated mixed reactions among his fans and critics on social media. As at the time of gathering this report, not less than 900 users have commented on his post.

Some welcomed and prayed for him, others have also advised him to stay off social media.

Among those that congratulated and prayed for him is @dami_oluwa_dami, he said: “Congratulations in advance. I pray you win this case. We all deserve a 2nd chance.”

He was advised by some of his fans to take a break from social media pending the whole issue would be resolved.

@estheraustine58 advised that Baba Ijesha should learn from his mistakes and stay away from deadly friends. “In fact, stay away from friends and mind your business.”

@akinnas1952 said: “Bro!!! Please apologise to everyone and promise that such won’t happen again…”

@kvng_phyzah said: “You don’t need to be this active…you need to keep calm and apologise to the public and seek help.”

@poshpinke said: “Hmmm…to forgive is divine… and please don’t go back to that dirty act… and be careful of who you choose as friends.”

Some social media users have taken the opportunity to castigate him for the courage he had to come online.

@tele2007 said: “I love my country, that is why we have a lot of ANIMALS there, a country where will innocent pay for the sinners, a country where graduate driver TRICYCLE and primary school holder will be in AC, a country where criminals will know that very soon, they will forget about my case. Baba ijesha, sèbi they posted ur videos where you dey do check up and you are talking as if ☺☺ so now you have the strength to post, when you are very sure of the country.”
