Former Minister of Water Resources, Sarah Ochekpe, has been sentenced to six years months imprisonment for money laundering and conspiracy amounting to over N450 million
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission disclosed this via its official Twitter handle.
A federal high court sitting in Abuja, sentenced the politician who had been standing trial since 2018.

Ochekpe had served as Minister under former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Sarah bagged the jail term alongside a former chairman of the People Democratic Party in Plateau state, Raymond Dabo, and the Plateau State Coordinator of Jonathan Campaign Organization, Leo-Sunday Jitong.
