The Medical Director/ CEO, General Hospital, Ijede, Dr. Olufunmilayo Bankole has identified space as a major constraint faced by the facility, stressing that more space is needed for expansion and improvement in access to qualitative healthcare services for the community.
Dr. Bankole made this cry at the Third Stakeholders’ Forum organised by the hospital, on Tuesday, 17th November, 2020 as revealed on the official Twitter handle of the Lagos State Government. where
The Chief Executive Officer, further revealed that the management had upgraded some facilities, as well as acquired modern medical equipment within the past 12 months, as part of efforts to enhance service delivery.
“Some of the infrastructural developments and services embarked on include the upgrade of the conference room, the building of an isolation centre for suspected COVID-19 patients, suction machine, ophthalmological and dental services among others”, she said.
She acknowledged the support of the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi; the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Olusegun Ogboye and the Leadership of the Health Service Commission in the acquisition of the equipment and provision of support in rendering unique services to patients.
Bankole also recognized the commitment of the management to continually improve on infrastructural development and services in the hospital.
