* As Many Nigerians recount their sad experiences with Ponzi Schemes

The search for sustainable and quick wealth in order to escape poverty has made many Nigerians fall victim of fraudulent ponzi scheme.

A ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment platform that usually promise investors huge return on investment (ROI) with money made from referred investors.

Here are some sad testimonies from some Nigerians who have lost some amount of their wealth to the scheme:

@_Being0 shared, “MBA forex oo. I was told it was a forex company that also had a school where they teach people forex trading. I invested 4million Naira and also convinced my sister who just lost her job due to covid19 issues to put her 500k, I was paid my RIO once, but my sister never got a dime.

“Since November till date, we haven’t been paid. My sister has attempted suicide twice because she has absolutely nothing, my husband has stopped talking to me because it was his money I used to do the investment thinking I will return the capital since it was all his savings for

“The past 3 years of hard struggle. My marriage has been in the mud since then because of this…infact, it’s been crazy in my home since December till date. I am pregnant and currently facing so many issues because of MBA forex owned by Maxwell.”

@_noon278 recounts that he was duped several times. In 2018 he lost N4 million to one Micheno Ventures, in 2016, MMM robbed him of 1.4M, and in 2017 he lost 250K to Cash cloud. He however vowed never to fall into such again.

@Oka4Nwa narrates, “Hmmm, In December, I lost 13.5M investment capital. Forex traders(MBA and WKC) have made me miserable in the last 3months. I’ll gladly share my capital if you have means of recovering it.”

See other people’s ordeal with ponzi schemes:

Company: B2 Consults
ROI promised: 10% monthly
Date I Invested: August 2019

It’s 19 months now, and I haven’t gotten back my capital not to mention the ROI.
