Justice Nicolas Oweibo of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, has adjourned the trial of popular Nigerian hip hop musician, Afeez Adeshina Fashola, Naira Marley, till October 5, 2021.
The president of the popular Marlian gang was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in 2019 for credit card fraud.
He is being tried on an 11-count charge. According to a report from EFCC, 2 witnesses have been invited to testify against him since the trial began.
The witnesses, who are forensic experts, have revealed some shocking evidence against Marley and disclosed that he frequently visited sites where stolen credit cards are sold to fraudsters.
Afeez had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
