Nathaniel Yebufura, a national tennis coach, collapsed and died while waiting to see the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Benue State Police Command in Makurdi over the weekend.
He was also a member of the tennis section of the Makurdi Police Officers Mess.
NationSport has learned that the coach arrived at the Benue state command headquarters around 10:45 a.m. on Friday and went upstairs to the PPRO’s office.

He slumped on the chair while waiting for the PPRO, who was with the Commissioner of Police. He was rushed to the Police clinic within the command headquarters, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Coach Yebufura, a native of Bayelsa State, began his sporting career as a footballer, playing for Hawks FC and Benue Brewery FC, which is now known as Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi.
