Netflix has released first trailer for the late actor, Chadwick Boseman’s last movie Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. The movie, directed by George C. Wolfe is an adaptation of August Wilson’s 1984 play about the Chicago blues titan. The film follows the story of “Mother of the Blues” Ma Rainey, and her battle for control with her white producer, while navigating the music industry in the1920s. Along with Boseman, as a trumpeter named Levee, the film features Viola Davis as Rainey. It’s the actor’s final role before his tragic demise on the August 29th, 2020. The movie is produced by Todd Black, Denzel Washington, and Dany Wolf and arrives on December 18.
