Following harsh comments from Seyi Shay at the television reality show, Nigerian Idol, to a 17-year-old. Reactions have poured out on Twitter, showing dissatisfaction on the use of words by the singer.
The singer, last Sunday who harshly commented on the teenager’s performance, said: “Somebody lied to you and told you to come and audition, and that person, you should go back and tell them they are not your friends because that was not good audition.
“Oh, you have a good talking voice, and it comes out in your singing voice, but your performance, terrible. You are never going to make money being a singer.”
Reacting to her statement, A popular doctor on Twitter known as Aproko Doctor, took to his Twitter page to advise the singer on what she should have said.
“Seyi Shay should have tried the sandwich approach, Praise first, Criticize, Praise them again.
“That’s how to give feedback. Eg: nice voice, I think your performance could be better if trained, once again, nice voice.
“How you say a thing matters also.” He stated.
