Nigerians Blasts Buhari's Aide, Garba Shehu Over First Tweet
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Nigerians have bashed the spokesperson of President Muhammadu Buhari hours after the lifting of the ban placed on Twitter.

The social media users were apparently outraged by the first tweet by presidential aide Garba Shehu after Twitter operations were formally restored in Nigeria.

Shehu had tweeted:

Welcome back!
Let me join fellow countrymen and women in welcoming the resolution of the impasse between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Twitter Inc., leading to the laying of  a "foundation for a mutually beneficial future with endless possibilities."

— Garba Shehu (@GarShehu) January 13, 2022

We hope that this be appreciated by all. The nation comes first.
Once again, welcome back!
