Nigerians Slam Lauretta Onochie for Supporting Lifestyle Auditing
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Some Nigerians on Twitter have slammed Buhari’s aide, Lauretta Onochie, for supporting lifestyle audit.

Lauretta who has always been a subject of criticisms on Twitter for her unbending support for President Muhammad Buhari, today, became the subject on the platform as her name tops the trending topics.

According to Lauretta, the lifestyle audit will allow people who flaunt their wealth to be investigated by the anti-graft agencies.

She tweeted: “Lifestyle Audit is now legal in Nigeria. Those who flaunt lifestyles they cannot afford, can now be investigated by any of the graft agencies to produce evidence of the sources of their wealth. You can now be called upon to explain how you acquired certain properties.”

Although, she had restricted those who could comment on her tweets, that did not stop many from reacting to her tweet.

See some of the reactions below:

Can the Lifestyle audit start with Lauretta Onochie? Those who live in a grass house should not throw stones. Can one throw stones in the market when his father, mother and relations are there? Absurd! https://t.co/xDMvOISDr9

They'll catch the innocent(s), the innocent will tell them his/her sources of income out of fear, they'll then threaten to kill him if he/she doesn't wire a certain amount of money to their accounts, they'll kidnap some and ask their families for ransom.
