The Director General (DG) of The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has revealed that all camp participants for the 2020 Batch “B” Orientation Course would be tested for COVID-19.
The DG at the 2020 Batch ‘B’ Pre-Orientation Course Workshop held at Jos Plateau State today, 5th November 2020, stated that all camp participants for the 2020 Batch “B” Orientation Course would be tested for COVID-19.
During the Workshop, the DG assured the people that at the resumption of the NYSC camp there would be strict compliance with COVID-19 safety guidelines.
Furthermore, the DG expressed gratitude to NCDC for their contributions in ensuring that the camp is safe for all camp participants. “I also express our gratitude to the NCDC for the donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth millions of Naira for use in the Orientation Camps which will enhance the success of our efforts towards ensuring the safe conduct of the Orientation Course”, he said.
The Plateau State Governor, Mr Simon Bako Lalong who was also in attendance sympathised with the NYSC family over the recent looting of some of its Orientation Camps by hoodlums.
2020 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course is scheduled to hold on Tuesday 5th January, 2021 to 25th January, 2021.
The National Youth Service Corps is a program set up by the Nigerian government to involve Nigerian graduates in nation building and the development of the country.
