Outrage as Vatican Bars Same-Sex Marriage
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The statement by Pope Francis stating that the Vatican will not
bless same-sex marriage have attracted outrage by promoters and supporters of lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender (LGBTQ).

Reacting to this statement via her Twitter handle, Shefali Vaidiya, a popular Indian Satirist, author said:

“Yes people! Pope Francis says Vatican will NOT bless same-sex unions, calls them ‘sin’! But sexual abuse of minor kids by Catholic clergy is completely okay, the Church will pay the victims to shut up! Now waiting for LGBTQ activists to outrage…”

Charlotte Clymer, an American activist, and former Press Secretary not the LGBTQ Civil Right Organisation express worry over the number of LGBTQ that would be denied right to basic health facilities after the declaration.

She tweeted: “In the U.S., one of every six hospital beds is in a Catholic health care space. If you think that the Pope denying affirmation to LGBTQ people doesn’t matter, I invite you to talk to LGBTQ patients who have been discriminated against in hospitals in their greatest vulnerability.”

@BlueBayGay1 said: “The same Catholic Church that sanctioned and protected several pedophiles🙈🙈🙈 Please who’s confused here”

Nathaniel Ellis Yorke said he denounced being a Christian because of the discrimination. See his reaction below.

It's actually why I am no longer a Christian, I can't go to church and listen to people quote the Bible about how homosexuality's wrong but it's okay to rape your own wife.
