Peter Okoye, Mr P, of the defunct PSquare has been awarded an honorary Doctorate degree for his contributions to music by Eacae-Benin University.
Mr P made the announcement on his Instagram page in a post.
In the post, Peter expressed his gratitude to Eacae-Benin University for recognising his contributions to music and dance with an honorary doctorate degree.
He said in the video posted that his fans should now call him “doc.”
He said: “Dear Team P! It’s a great honor to be decorated by a distinguished educational institution, which has recognized my contribution to Dance and Music as well as my support for the youth in the entertainment industry.
