Who Told You Staying At Home Alone is Boring? Check Out A Quick Glimpse into the Life of A Stay At Home Girl
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter
Staying at home seems like a nightmare to most people especially if you stay alone. You can practically see the reaction on the faces of many when they are asked to stay at home alone for a whole day.

Well, I totally understand this, because as humans not just humans, as living entities we were created to relate. However, there are times staying at home is needed, like your alone time, where you get to think and evaluate events and even make right decisions because you are free from the noise of people.

But admidst this beautiful advantage of staying at home, majority of people I have met prefer not to stay at home alone, they even reject the thought of it and I smile, because that is basically the life I live.

As a young lady whose siblings are in school and having parents who work in an entirely different state, I have learnt to embrace the lifestyle of having to stay at home alone. Well, why it was easy for me to quickly accept this lifestyle is because personally, I am a super introverted creature, mingling with people is not my thing, to the extent that when the whole family come together probably on holidays, I still redraw to my room and they would have to go through the stress of coming into my room to have a discussion. Staying at home all by myself wasn’t an issue at all.

Well, that’s enough about that, let’s quickly look into my routine and how it helps me not to totally feel lonely.

Most of the time, when I wake up in the morning, after saying my prayers, I have lined up events for my day, even though I am not stepping a foot out of my house.

One of the ways to enjoy a stay at home lifestyle is to be organized. For example, I plan out what I want to do throughout that day that at the end of the day, 24 hours isn’t enough for me.

For instance, I took up courses, which would take like 2-4 hours of my day, after which I probably see a movie, which can take about an hour, then I read for about an hour, see YouTube videos for about 2 hours, chat with friends, pray, study, exercise, write, think, sleep, play games, podcast and so much more.

I know right now you are like that’s boring, but remember ‘one man’s meat is another man’s poison’, it might be boring to you but it is very interesting to me and many more like me.

I won’t deny the fact that sometimes, boredom sets in. When I am bored, you can be sure to expect a call from me. I pick up my phone to speak with my close friend and trust me, after a long talk about random things, I feel good again!

Again, you might say ‘that’s boring’, it’s fine, I get that a lot, but that’s a quick glimpse into my activity as a stay at home girl.

If you feel this is too boring a life for a person to live, can you put down your comment on what you would advise I do differently, so as to make my stay at home life more interesting.
