An official inquiry has revealed that the South African woman, Gosiame Sithole, did not give birth to a decuplet as claimed by her husband, Mr Tsotetsi.
According to the statement reported by Yahoo News, no hospital in Gauteng province has recorded the birth of 10 babies and a medical test revealed that Sithole had not been pregnant recently.
The latest report stated that the “allegations are false, unsubstantiated and only serve to tarnish the good reputation of Steve Biko Academic Hospital and the Gauteng Provincial Government.”
“Legal action would be taken against the editor-in-chief of Pretoria News, Piet Rampedi, and IOL,” it added.
Also, the report claimed that the news emanated from Pretoria News who got the news via text message from Sithole’s husband.
The publisher did not confirm the news from Steve Biko Academic Hospital (SBAH), the acclaimed hospital where the babies were born, nor did the publisher reveal the pictures of the babies.
The reason behind the false story is yet to be known, the report said.
