The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has responded to the move by the National Assembly to adopt electronic transmission of election results.
Speaking before the Members of the House of Representatives on Friday, the representative of NCC, Ubale Maska, executive commissioner technical services, said that according to the electoral coverage conducted in 2018 less than 50 per cent does not have access to 3G network.
According to him, the 3G network is the minimum required service for the electronic transmission of electoral results.
Also, speaking on the vulnerability of the technology, Masks said: “it is possible to hack” the system because there’s no system that is not vulnerable.
