Popular Nigerian artiste, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has reacted to the gunshot scare which had caused a confusion during her performance in Rivers state.
On Sunday, a viral video showing the singer fleeing the event after gunshots rented the air went viral on the internet. Some eyewitnesses took to social media to claim that there was an attempt to kidnap the musician at the event which took place in Buguma Town, Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Others also claim that the gunshots stemmed from a fight that broke out between some groups.

Teni, however, took to her Instagram story on Monday to express her gratitude to God.
She wrote, “(It) could have been a different story entirely but I’m grateful to God.
“Myself and entire team are safe and back home now. Thanks for the calls and messages.”
