With 131 medals won so far since the commencement of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 on Saturday.
41 gold and silver medals and 49 bronze medals have been won in the games.
The USA took over the top position from China having earned 7 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
Although China is one medal ahead of team USA it fell short of a gold medal to maintain the first position. The People’s Republic now has 6 gold, 3 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
The host country, Japan, sits in the third position on the medal table with a total of 9 medals; 6 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
The fourth position is Great Britain, with 6 medals in total, 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
South Korea and Australia also won 6 medals. The Korean team has 3 gold and 3 bronze medals while Australia has 2 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

ROC and Italy have won 8 medals each, the Russian side has 1 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Italy on the other hand has 1 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
Occupying the 9th and 10th position are Canada and France respectively. Canada has won 1 gold and 2 silver while France has 1 gold, silver, and bronze medal each.
