Micro-blogging site, Twitter has assured Nigerians to restore access to its platform following the suspension of its operation by the Nigerian Government.
Recall that the Federal Government suspended the social network operations on Friday, 4th of June 2021, following the deletion of one of the President’s tweet on Tuesday.
However, Twitter announced its assurance to restore access to Nigerians on Saturday via its official public policy page.
“We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society.
“We will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world.” It stated.
Although, some Nigerians have started using VPN to bypass the restrictions, but many other citizens are still yet to find their way around the ban.
