A final year law student of the University of Lagos, Kolawole Onokomaiya, protesting against insecurity in the country has been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force.
Confirming the incident, Kolawole’s brother said, his brother had embarked on a lone protest yesterday, Monday, May 31, against the continuous state of insecurity in the country.
Kolawole notified his friends on Twitter of his mission to embark on the one-man protest.
“Starting today I’ll be going on a one man protest against the killings and kidnappings happening in this country. Everything that has a beginning surely must have an end. This madness has to stop now! #Endthebloodshed #Stopthekillings”
Few hours after his post, a friend on Twitter reported that he has been arrested by the Maroko Police.
“@Kola_Toyosi was just arrested by Maroko police and then transferred to panti for peacefully demonstrating the length of his rights at Lekki Toll Gate.”
