Unknown gunmen have been reported to have kidnapped the Baale of Araromi community in Ibadan, Oyo State, Chief Tafa Apanpa alongside his wife on Tuesday Night.
According to reports, the gunmen stormed the village in Bakatari during a heavy down pour and went straight to the home of the couple around 9:00pm, taking them away to unknown destination.
Confirming the incident on Wednesday June 23 is the spokesperson for the State Police Command, Adewale Osifeso, who stated that efforts are in top gear to rescue both victims and as well apprehend the abductors.
