Alert!! A total number of 22,534 Covid-19 Cases has been confirmed in Lagos State

The Honourable Commissioner for Health of Lagos State, Prof. Akin Abayomi has given an update on Covid-19 cases up to 15th of November 2020, revealing the total number of tests conducted, number of confirmed cases, number of discharged cases and number of active cases.


Prof. Abayomi on his official Twitter handle page disclosed the number of tests conducted and the number of confirmed cases, saying “97 new COVID-19 infections were confirmed in Lagos on November 15th, 2020 out of a total 957 COVID-19 tests conducted.”


The 97 new cases brought the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Lagos to 22,534, making the total number of COVID-19 tests conducted so far in Lagos to stand at 153,839.


He further revealed that, 2,505 of the confirmed cases have been discharged from the COVID-19 Care Centers following full recovery. Also a total of 18,593 of the confirmed cases monitored in communities by the COVID-19 Lagos Response Team have fully recovered.


He also noted that 31 of the cases are currently under isolation in public and private COVID-19 Care Centres and 1,190 active cases in communities are been managed under the COVID-19 Lagos home based care program and they are receiving treatment via EkoTelemed services.


Lagosians are therefore advised to follow strictly the precautionary measures given by the government to avoid a second wave of Covid-19 in the state.
