Nigeria’s National Assembly which was built 27 years ago in Abuja has been reported to be flooded with water because of its leaking roof.
According to report, this happened on Tuesday morning, June 22, 2021 after a heavy rainfall led to the leaking of the green chamber’s roof causing water splashing to the lobby of the Federal Parliament.
It was also reported that the leaking roof spread to the Press Centre in the Senate wing of the assembly.
The plenary which was to hold earlier today was delayed for few hours as cleaners had a hectic time scooping out the water.
