… he only identified as a contact of a Coronavirus patient
The World Health Organisation has announced to the general public that the Director General of the Organisation, Dr. Tedros Gbebreyesus, has not been tested positive for Coronavirus.
Many hours ago, Dr. Tedros, on his official twitter account, stated that he has “been identified as a contact of someone who has tested positive for #COVID19. I am well and without symptoms but will self-quarantine over the coming days, in line with @WHO protocols, and work from home.”
The WHO has debunked the news surrounding misinterpretation of the DG’s tweet.
WHO tweet read: “Contrary to some incorrect reports, @DrTedros hasn’t tested positive for #COVID19. He has been identified as a contact of a person who tested positive. Dr Tedros is feeling well and is in self-quarantine as a precautionary measure, in line with WHO protocols.”
